Trackbee vs Triple Whale

Are you frustrated with declining ad performance? Do you want to measure the real value of your Meta or TikTok campaigns? Luckily there are tools out there that can help you to improve your social ad performance.

In this article, we will compare Triple Whale and Trackbee and tell you why the latter is your best bet ;) We will have a look at the differences, ease of implementation, costs, and more. Let’s start with the main difference between them.

TLDR

Triple Whale provides you with accurate dashboarding for your ad platforms. As an eCommerce store owner, you want more than only a dashboard though. You need more complete data and better ad performance.

Trackbee offers the same AND we send your conversion data back to the ad platforms to give your algorithms a boost to find you the cheapest transactions. Trackbee is therefore a more complete solution for eCommerce advertisers who want to improve their ads and store performance.

The differences

So what are the main differences between Triple Whale and Trackbee? Before we start looking into the main features, let’s have a look at their slogans:

Triple Whale states: “Triple Whale lets you easily manage and automate analytics, attribution, merchandising, forecasting, and more—in the palm of your hand.”

Trackbee states: “Maximise the effectiveness of your marketing budget by utilising our cutting-edge tracking and attribution software for precise results.”

From these statements, we can already interpret some differences. Namely, Triple Whale provides analytics and attribution dashboards and Trackbee does not only that, but also with an actual impact on the effectiveness of your marketing budget. So why is that?

Triple Whale is an e-commerce tool providing an attribution dashboard that aims to attribute purchases to marketing channels and campaigns. However, these attribution insights do not increase ad performance. Just reporting on interesting insights for your business. Triple Whale does not fix the biggest issue at play, which is that ad platforms such as Meta, Google, and TikTok are still receiving incomplete data.

Trackbee basically upgrades your current tracking pixel. We make a direct connection between your e-commerce store and your advertising platforms to send accurate conversion data. Besides that, we offer you reporting on the conversion data of your store as well. Now let’s have a look at some key features of both.

Integrations

Currently, Trackbee integrates with Shopify, ConvertCreator, or WordPress and more CMS platforms are on the roadmap. Triple Whale is only available for Shopify. If your site runs on WordPress, Triple Whale is not an option for you.

Both Triple Whale and Trackbee connect with the most popular marketing platforms like Google Ads, Meta Ads, TikTok, Snapchat, and more. So how do you connect all these platforms?

Low code /Ease of implementation

Our tool integrates easily with Shopify and WooCommerce with just a few clicks in the interface. You just need pixel IDs and API tokens to set it up. Let’s take Meta Ads as an example.

You open up the events manager and you create a new pixel or select an existing one. Once you have opened it up you copy the pixel ID and the API access token. In the Trackbee interface you paste the IDs and save it. Now you are good to go. That’s it basically.

Triple Whale is implemented like any other tracking pixel. Straight in the code of the site or via GTM. Besides that, you also need to use UTMs in your ads to be able to use the Triple pixel properly.

Connecting all the above-mentioned platforms is easy. Just navigate to the integrations section of Triple Whale, click connect, and log in with your platform credentials to connect.

Once you have everything connected, Trackbee and Triple Whale will measure all traffic coming from these channels. But how do they value each channel?

Improves ad performance (ROAS, CPA)

While Triple Whale offers you a better sense of which channels provide you value, it does not actively impact the performance of the advertising channels. So no improvement in your ROAS… This way it allows you to allocate budget properly and know which ads are generating the most value for your business. Unfortunately, it still runs on the browser-collected conversion data, which can be incomplete due to ad blockers or unaccepted cookie banners.

Trackbee feeds more accurate data to the platform's algorithms which leads to better signals for the algorithm which improves your ROAS and lowers your CPCs. We receive the data straight from Shopify and send it back to the ad platforms to boost your conversion history. Because they make a direct connection to the Shopify API they receive the actual event data in real-time. This will give you and the ad platform the best information about where to put your budget!

API tracking

You might have already wondered, does entering the API access token also mean that I implement the Meta conversions API like that? Yes, you do. Trackbee basically replaces the pixel and makes a direct connection with the Shopify or WooCommerce server, and therefore, functions as the CAPI. Nice and easy right?

Triple Whale does not feature API tracking. They provide the “Triple pixel” which allows their dashboard to gather data and analyze channel performance. Great for reporting maybe but you are still missing half of the conversion data. This means no impact on your ad performance.

Support

The support of Triple Whale consists of email support and an extensive knowledge base. Apart from that they offer a platform called Triple Whale University where you can learn everything about the platform with clear videos arranged by topic.

We offer support via phone or email and other support options are currently being developed. The best thing about our support team is that we all have a background in eCommerce. So we understand your problems and can give you personal solutions.

Costs

Triple Whale comes with 3 different pricing plans; Growth, Pro, and Enterprise. The actual price differs per tracked monthly revenue so I would recommend checking out their calculator if you want to get a proper estimate. All plans come with different features which I won’t go into now but with the Growth plan, you can probably get quite far if you have a SMB Ecommerce store.

We have created a unique payment model based on tracked revenue. So you only pay for actual revenue tracked. To make this even better, the first $50k measured revenue is for free. This means that until you do not make $50k in revenue, Trackbee is for free.

From there you need to get the advanced plan, which costs $100 per month until $50k monthly recurring revenue tracked. Above that, you pay only $0,90 per $1.000 monthly revenue, allowing you to accurately align the costs with your growth. And with the paid plan you only pay for the stores that have a minimum of $10k revenue history.

Conclusion

We have seen that Trackbee and Triple Whale offer very different features. Triple Whale provides you with accurate dashboarding for your ad platforms. As an eCommerce store owner, you want more than only a dashboard though. You need more complete data and better ad performance.

Our tool offers the same AND it sends your conversion data back to the ad platforms to give your algorithms a boost to find you the cheapest transactions. Trackbee is therefore a more complete solution for eCommerce advertisers who want to improve their ads and store performance. Check it out while you can! It’s free for the first $50.000 tracked revenue.
